  1. We live in a high fire risk area, with 17 equines on the property and several goats a plan was quite necessary. Fortunately this is also cattle-country and several venues are designated as livestock holding centers. With 3 trucks and 3 big trailers, which all the animals are familiar with, it’s easy to get them moved to safety less than 10 miles away. Each halter/collar bears a tag with contact information, and as a backup we use heat-resistant marking “crayons” to ID each animal.
